so i got my computer rebuilt (it has sides again!) and i got the cmoy into at least working condition (it still has some problems, but it should be good to power in ear monitors, which is its intended function for the time being).
i just wish i had my camera, so i could show some pics of this stuff.

i got a new tip for my soldering iron toady.
i also figured out what the problem with my cmoy headphone amp was, and i think i fixed it.
but (and didnt you know there was going to be a ‘but’) while i was doing so another thing broke:(
some of the parts are kind of cheap is the problem.
ooh well. it was good try. maybe on the way to camp ill hit a radio shack and get the parts to work on it some more.
bungie day
by poorchoices on Jul.07, 2009, under Uncategorized
bungie day has come and (almost) went. i took the day off, and spend it reveling in the fun and whatnot. i watched the videos, played the games (even if i didnt run into the bungie staff it was still pretty good times.) a special shout out to all the various SIP members i gamed with that made the day enjoyable.
in other news, my poison ivy is almost healed.
and my camp preparations are almost completed.
so there.
Update!
by poorchoices on Jul.03, 2009, under Uncategorized
so i guess its been a while since i updated.
so sue me.
the first news is that my camera has gone missing.
this is very depressing to me. taking pictures of things that were clear was nice. i dont think i can go back to a cell phone camera.
the sound system left for tour (like two weeks ago), but without me this year. that kind of sucks, but at least i get to spend time at camp with my favorite highschoolers. i dont have replacement speakers to take, but at least i have an alright console, a few compressors, and good mics. i should be able to make it sound good.
and since i recently bought some new hard drive space, and already had a 10 channel soundcard, im planning on multi-tracking the main sessions. dont know that ill do anything with it, but its good experience, i guess.
if you have ever played halo on live, you know it sucks if you dont have people to play with. such was my experience, until i joined the spartan one project, a group on bungie.net. i can say enough good about them.
also, tuesday is bungie day, and since they want me to win recon amour, (and so do i want to win it) im taking the day off to play halo all day. so look for me on live.
othr than that, things are pretty normal. on wednesday and thursday of this week, i moved 10,000 pounds of rock (per day, 20k total). this islands are almost done now, just some minor touch ups to do. that ought to make someone at work happy.
thats it for now.
you should go read ichz or something.
