Halo 1 Lan!
by poorchoices on Jun.26, 2010, under Uncategorized
So, last night, some friends and i had a halo 1 lan. Talk about an oldschool throwback. I had forgotten how much fun that game was. Don’t get me wrong, i like playing halo 3 on live, but the halo 1 has a much more likable ‘human’ element to it. Its great to be able to change your name to make fun of the guys in the other room, or to be able to run in and smack the host when the game loads and its escort on boarding action (hey, i thought it would be fun).
Here are a few pics to prove that is actually happened:
bad drivers

has anyone else noticed that people on the highway are becoming increasingly rude these days?
i take the interstate to work almost everyday.
three times in less than a week now, as i have been either entering or taking an exit, the there has been someone in the right hand lane moving at close to my speed, and not getting over when they had an open lane to their left. today, it was a white suburban. i hit 70 by the time i got to the to the top of the ramp, and found this guy in my lane, even with me, with room to get over, but not moving. i managed to pass him with only minimal driving on the shoulder.
about six weeks ago, i was on my way back to joplin from carthage. about mile from the exit onto I44, i came up on a car, and moved into the left lane to pass. i hit 80, and failed to pass. this guy (who had been doing something like 65) was now neck in neck with me. seeing my exit was soon approaching, i slowed, changed back to the right, and exited. this guy exited (in front of me). after moving onto 44, he resumed his 65 ish speed. again, i moved into the left lane, and speed up to pass. now is the right time for you to know, that while my car is nothing to look at, it rides smooth at high speeds. i failed to pass this guy, again. when i looked down, i was off the top of my speedometer (which goes up to 85). so, flying down the highway at close to 100 mph, this guy takes the first exit. he swerves off, slams on his brakes, instead of letting my pass like a sane person would.
i fail understand people these days.

Sorry for the blur on some of them, the in show ones were taken through the window if the lighting booth and i was too busy doing my thing to look at them and see if they were coming out alright.
it looked better in person than the pictures do.

a big thanks to my all the people who trudged through the muck with me.
i think this year im going to try and be more appreciative of the people i have.
id also like to read more and learn to make forth with the music somehow.
