A Poor Choice, recounted
This domain
I need an interlock on my domain registrar.
As documented elsewhere, the origins of this site can be traced back to giving Sean a hard time about his movie choices.
But that was just a joke, a bit of banter between friends.
The actual doing of something, like registering the domain name, came a few weeks and half a bottle of bourbon later.
It's not like this is the first time, although it's one of the few that have actually gone anywhere. Is this somewhere? Hard to tell. But most of the other ones were arguably way better:
- PostmortEmail: A service where if you fail to check in for a given window we automatically send pre-written emails from you to your loved ones. A voice from beyond the grave.
- FuckedUpMovieReviews: Never quite worked out if the reviews were to be of movies that are fucked up, or we'd get fucked up and then review movies. Either way.
The best bit is this keeps getting easier: now I can just ask some random AI to make a website for me. The time and effort barrier is pretty much gone. So was this a mistake? Sure. Will I do again? Very probably.
